Penn State's Master of Accounting Program Student Association (MPSA) is a student run association devoted to vocalizing the needs, wants, and concerns of students enrolled in the MAcc program. In addition we provide students with opportunities to enhance their experience outside the classroom. As a member, you will be given access to beneficial resources that will broaden and improve your experience within the MAcc program. We hope that the tools we provide will help you better understand the realm of public accounting and give you an advantage in starting off your careers.
The MAcc ProgramThe MAcc Program is an integrated program that allows students to concurrently earn a bachelor's and master's degree in accounting. Typically, students graduate in five years but graduating in four and a half years is possible . The program fulfills the "150 credit hours" needed to be eligible to take the CPA exam.
Students apply for the program in the spring of their sophomore year when they would typically declare a Smeal major. Admission is limited and processed by the Smeal Accounting Department.
